Ratt Creek Restoration Overview

Restoration work will be completed in stages and began in Summer 2022.

1st Stage

The first stage includes the removal of all invasive trees and shrubs as well as grading. ​

2nd Stage

​The second stage includes erosion control, streambank and channel restoration.

3rd Stage

The next stage of the project includes seeding and any additional restoration. The Village will be adding native plantings throughout the project area.

Long Term Management

Once construction is completed the Village will provide long term maintenance to the restored corridor. This will include prescribed burning, mowing, and targeted treatment of woody and weedy invasive species.

Once the plantings have time to mature, the Village and the community will be left with a beautiful, natural area.
